The Tug Boat assistance course is designed for port Pilot to familiarize themselves with tug boat operations. The course highlights the advantages of azimuth stern drive tugs in harbour, including their limitations.
Pilots will have the opportunity to train on ASD tugs so that they will understand the capabilities and limitation of such tug boats when manoeuvring in the limited areas of the port.
