Overview The MSc Project Management, Finance and Risk offers training in modern techniques for managing and engineering the uncertainties and risk inherent in projects and designing appropriate financial instruments and tools to optimise the performance throughout the life cycle. It builds on City University London's strength in systems engineering, engineering economics, reliability and risk analysis for capital goods.

This course provides a foundation in risk and decision making under uncertainty, classical engineering economics, and financial engineering for those pursuing a career or planning a career in capital goods or project management. The nature and major drivers in which businesses operate, and the associated challenges and opportunities future project managers and leaders face, are central themes running through the programme. Entrepreneurial behaviour and how this interacts in industry with project management, innovation, the economic environment and opportunity recognition, is also explored.

Running alongside the modules, a rolling programme of one-day events, with key objectives of extending the students' range of presentation, communication, self-assessment, career awareness and team-building skills are scheduled. This course is delivered alongside a series of Industry Lectures with invited experts from industry.

This is a very popular programme with limited places. Early application is therefore advised. We welcome applications from students with undergraduate degrees in engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance and computer sciences.Scholarships, bursaries and prizesThe School offers generous scholarships, bursaries and prizes for this course:UK/EU applicants - Engineering & Mathematics Scholarship of £2,000City University London Graduate Loyalty Discount of £2,500International Student Scholarships of £2,000Other scholarships, bursaries and prizesHear from one of our...
