Over the past decade, the impact that nutrition has on athletic performance has become increasingly clear. The PgCert/PgDip/MSc in Sports and Exercise Nutrition aims to enable students to develop an evidence-based approach to understanding the science of sports nutrition and the application of sport and exercise nutrition for groups and individuals.WHY CHOOSE THIS COURSE?
Successful completion of the postgraduate certificate elements of this course (first year), will able students to generate evidence to enable their application for graduate entry on to the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register.
The Postgraduate Certificate part (worth 60 credits) uses blended learning. The remainder of the course is delivered on campus at the University. Continuing studying at Masters level may enhance student employability by showing depth of knowledge and skills in sport and exercise nutrition.

There is growing recognition that appropriate nutrition is essential for performance and recovery in sport. An increasing number of athletes at all levels of achievement require support from appropriately trained professionals in this field. The Sports and Exercise Nutrition PgCert/PgDip/MSc will give you the skills needed to deliver this support.HOW WILL THIS COURSE BE TAUGHT?
The first year of the course is delivered via blended learning, with the bulk of the course being delivered online. There are also several face-to-face sessions that are delivered over four weekends. The remaining modules do not utilise a blended learning approach, but are delivered with the Masters framework on a full or part time basis."
