The audience for the HP ATP – Cloud Administrator is HP partner, employee, and customer technical specialists who are responsible for administrative and operational tasks of the HP cloud environment.

The candidate should have a foundational understanding of the individual HP cloud building blocks — HP servers, storage, networking, facilities, virtualization technology, and security.

After completing this course, you should be able to:

• Describe Cloud computing and its benefits to enterprise data centers
• Describe the different types of Cloud implementations
• Explain key Converged Infrastructure and Cloud processes and terminology (ensure that you cover bursting and bridging – how it works and its advantages/benefits; also, cover and Cloud terminology used by NIST, Gartner, Forrester, IDC, etc)
• Identify the lifecycle of Cloud services
• Describe the HP Cloud Functional Reference Architecture
• Describe the benefits of applying ITIL principles to an IT organization
• List and position the HP CloudSystem offerings and explain their capabilities
• Relate HP CloudSystem to the HP Converged Infrastructure and to the Instant-On Enterprise
• Identify and describe HP Converged Infrastructure components
• Identify and describe the HP CloudSystem software
• List, describe, and position HP Security solutions for Converged Infrastructure and Cloud
• List, describe, and position HP business continuity solutions for Converged Infrastructure and Cloud
• List, describe, and map HP service offerings for Converged Infrastructure and Cloud
• List and describe additional resources available from HP for the Converged Infrastructure and CloudSystem
• Identify additional opportunities and provide appropriate partner and HP contacts
• Illustrate current market trends and articulate the strengths and leadership of HP within the industry
• Identify stakeholders/key decision makers (internal/external) to interact with, Identify gaps within customer workforce Identify assessment tools and resources Discover and inventory the provided HP CloudSystem Matrix environment
• Confirm interoperability of the solution design
• Perform maintenance tasks with the environment Install, configure, and upgrade management software Perform operational validation and demonstrate the use of the management software (HP SIM, Insight Control, HP Insight Remote Support, etc.)
• Monitor and manage the environment
• Create, maintain, and perform backup and recovery processes in the Converged Infrastructure and Cloud environments
• Create and maintain baseline and appropriate documentation
• Identify and compare the existing solution design to the customer intent document or specification
• Optimize, performance-tune, and upgrade/expand the solution
• Collect data necessary to effectively troubleshoot the provided Converged Infrastructure and Cloud environment
• Evaluate the collected data, develop and execute on the action plan
• Create and maintain baseline and appropriate documentation
