Izmade Summer School is coming. Also this summer we organized a intense 9 days in the city of Turin (Italy). From 19th to 27th of July the participants will have the opportunity to design and build a tool shed.
The place of intervention is a public area intended to be used as vegetable garden, managed by Clorofilla non-profit organization and granted to citizen.
The mission of Izmade Summer School is to build three microarchitectures to be donated to the local community in order to cultivate their vegetable garden.
The course aims to attract students – both under and post graduates –, professionals and, in general, anyone who is interested in furniture design, interior design and lovers of making movement. In addition, students will have the opportunity to experience methodologies and techniques that will enable them to work creatively with waste materials and to learn co-design practices.
Each student will be equipped with all necessary materials and work tools and will be mentored by Izmade staff in every phase of the project. The course will take a total of 75 hours of educational effort which equals 3 credits.
In addition, we will provide constant help in logistics, housing, mobility, and tourism.
The Summer School is taught in English.
