This 3-day instructor-led course introduces policy managers and other business users to IBM WebSphere ILOG Rule Team Server V7.1, and teaches the concepts, processes, and procedures necessary to write, update, and maintain business rules. Through instructor-led presentations, product demonstrations, and hands-on lab exercises, students learn the core features of IBM WebSphere ILOG Rule Team Server V7.1 and how to perform rule authoring tasks. These tasks include updating existing business rules to reflect changes in business policy and creating new business rules by using building blocks and vocabulary from the underlying business object model (BOM) to define variables and express rule condition and action statements. Students also learn how to create and update decision tables, and how to use supporting features that simplify maintenance of rules, such as using the query features to locate specific rules, analyze them to look for potential problems, and make changes, and using the history feature to compare versions.
