This counselling course is designed for individuals who want to advance their counselling abilities. Participants of this course will be exposed to a range of counselling styles and common situations that require counselling. Learn to analyses a situation and develop a counselling strategy for the situation. Develop a strong understanding of confidentiality and ethics mandatory of counselors. Practice the skills needed to be an effective counselor. Become a confident negotiator. Learn how to successfully mediate. Upon completion of this course, participants will be confident in their counseling ability.

Student Profile

This programme is designed for people who wish to develop an understanding of principles and practice of Counselling in relation to a range of counselling situations. No prior knowledge is required.


The objectives of the course are to: 

·         describe the role of a counsellor and what counsellors do

·         List common types of counselling

·         Understand the skills and attributes required to conduct counselling

·         Practice and improve their listening skills
