What Will You Learn?
Epilepsy is a condition that most of us are aware of but unless we’ve had close contact with it, don’t understand much about. This course not only fills in the blanks but provides extensive information about the condition that will prove useful to those with epilepsy, their family and caregivers, and anyone else who would like to understand the condition and how to manage it.

You’ll gain an understanding of epilepsy as a condition, how it falls under the category of ‘neurological disorder’ and the factors that could increase the chances of a person contracting the condition.
You’ll discover the ways in which someone may acquire epilepsy – either from hereditary or defective genes or through other causes, such as brain damage or stroke, etc. In the case of a separate condition leading to epilepsy forming, you will learn how it can be prevented before it occurs.

You’ll learn the effects that seizures have on those with epilepsy. Both the long and short-term physiological impact on the body and the psychological effects on the mind, such as the social isolation often experienced by those with the condition, are explained..
There have been various methods and treatments for epilepsy nisations and educational facilities that have been established to help tackle the...
