I became aware of this master by one of my teachers in Japan. I did not know the Erasmus Mundus program, and I wanted above all a master that matches the hydraulic studies I wanted to do. This program was very attractive and allowed me to take courses in different countries participating in the master. It is true that in Japan few students are looking to go to Europe, the United States is more popular. But the prospect of studying in various European institutions really interested me.
I do not have to choose between this and another, it suited me perfectly. The procedures were very simple: a form to fill out and then wait for a response confirming my selection.
I feel I have built a program of excellence. The program is consistent from one country to another. This is sometimes a little difficult is to adapt to the cultural differences of each country. The ways of teaching are not necessarily the same, the relationship between teachers and students either. But that is the point of this program.

I became aware of this master by one of my teachers in Japan. I did not know the Erasmus Mundus program, and I wanted above all a master that matches the hydraulic studies I wanted to do. This program was very attractive and allowed me to take courses in different countries participating in the master. It is true that in Japan few students are looking to go to Europe, the United States is more popular. But the prospect of studying in various European institutions really interested me.
I do not have to choose between this and another, it suited me perfectly. The procedures were very simple: a form to fill out and then wait for a response confirming my selection.

I've been awarded the SNF grant by the Swiss National Science Foundation to pursue his Doctoral Studies at ETH Zurich, often rated as the best technological university in continental Europe (with 21 Nobel Prize winners in it’s alumni, Albert Einstein being the most prominent of them).
I've worked with several respectable researchers who are employed with ETH Zurich, Paul Scherrer Institut, Stanford University and University of Stuttgart during his Doctoral and Master’s research. His research interests are Atomistic and Ab-Initio Simulation and Modeling of Materials.

I wanted to develop my interests in the research field, and that is something one can only do when studying abroad with a scholarship. I could visit some cities of Italy and see a lot of beautiful places. I was also able to visit other countries of the European Union, like England, France, Spain and Belgium. These trips really opened my mind and made me think a lot.

Soon, after the examination of my thesis in front of the international jury on the 16th of June 2007 in Muséum Nationale d’Histoire Naturelle (France), I had an opportunity to enroll in the office of the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Indonesia to UNESCO. Since then, I have been an assistant to the Ambassador of the Indonesian Delegation to UNESCO, and I also have been a student in the doctoral degree at MNHN. There are contrasts but I found the interface for myself. From the substantive matters as well as administrative and secretariat matters in my office, I have the opportunity to learn what happened with a big dream like UNESCO: a dynamic of multilateral cooperation, substantive matters in cultural sector and world heritage management, having the opportunity to meet with the decision makers from my country in the office (they are the bureaucrats and the legislators) and learn to use different working languages and office tools (informatics, archiving). For my studies, my working group in MNHN has understood that my days were busy with administrative matters but by all means we were working together for our scientific matters and network. As a student who is working for the diplomatic representatives, I’m still doing my research, following the scientific meetings and conferences as well as making some contributions to my scientific network; Human Origins Patrimony in Southeast Asia. The HOPsea network provides the international collaboration to human patrimony studies in Southeast Asia. The scientific exchange between European and Southeast Asian partners gives the opportunity to find and work with international colleges, share everything for the scientific matters, and expand my networking

When I graduated (one year ago), I felt I still had a lot of things to learn and see, and that if I could find a way to go abroad and continue my studies, it was the right moment to do it.
The chance given to me by this master is priceless: I'm living in an incredible city, Barcelona, learning so many new things from very professional teachers and from my classmates coming from all around the world.
The topic of the master has always attracted me and finally I feel I am building for myself a solid technical base that I was still lacking as an architect.
At the same time, the encounter with people from other countries that have so different ways of life and ideas is opening up my mind and allowing me to see things in a different and new way.

When I graduated (one year ago), I felt I still had a lot of things to learn and see, and that if I could find a way to go abroad and continue my studies, it was the right moment to do it.
The chance given to me by this master is priceless: I'm living in an incredible city, Barcelona, learning so many new things from very professional teachers and from my classmates coming from all around the world.
The topic of the master has always attracted me and finally I feel I am building for myself a solid technical base that I was still lacking as an architect.

It’s a great opportunity to study abroad, to know more advance sciences and to absorb the values of European culture. Everything is well organised and personal problems are paid great attention. It will definitely help since my background is forestry and natural resource management and I have worked in this field in Nepal and in India. Now this Masters in European forestry will help me to be influential in the European arena. European countries are doing much more in the forestry sector. But, in developing countries forest protection and the livelihood of the people is only one theme of forest management. The knowledge that I have about the European country and their system is a valuable asset for me as a person who came from Africa. It’s a great opportunity to study abroad, to know more advance sciences and to absorb the values of European culture. Everything is well organised and personal problems are paid great attention. It will definitely help since my background is forestry and natural resource management and I have worked in this field in Nepal and in India. Now this Masters in European forestry will help me to be influential in the European arena. European countries are doing much more in the forestry sector.
