Students are supplied with a course book for use in class, as well as a workbook and CD for home study.

The language summary at the back of the course book is a useful, concise grammar reference to help remember the points covered in the lessons. Topics and grammar are related in order to take the greatest advantage of learning opportunities: contextualised information is more memorable and easier to use out of class. Students also learn to personalize their own strategies and assign priorities to the particular language area they want to focus on. Not only do they learn more about the English language and customs, but discover other cultures as well. Topics vary from globalisation to style icons, from first aid to quiz shows.
At this level, students already have a good knowledge of vocabulary and grammar and are particularly interested in idioms and language for specific contexts. Based on this principle, the text offers a variety of practice and enhancement activities in each of the four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
By the end of the course, the student will have learnt many useful phrase, improved his knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, enhanced his listening skills, and also achieved more natural pronunciation.
A key word to this course is "discovery": it describes the approach to teaching grammar and vocabulary in which the students work together, referring to an original text, to notice how the language is used and "discover" meanings and rules.

This approach not only makes the experience more interesting, but makes the information easier to understand and remember, and the strategy becomes a useful took for indipendent learning in the future.
