2) “Ancorages, searches and wandering”
Starting from an introduction to the Francophonie and the different approaches to French literatures, the course will approach the question of the connections between places and characters in two Caribbean authors: Raphaël Confiant and Maryse Condé. A particular attention will be paid to the appropriation and the fictionalisation of the history of extraordinary female characters in different historical and geographical contexts which are characterised by nomadism and violence.
