The programme
Our chore believe, vision and basis for this program is that:
- Problems and possible solutions require thorough analysis
- Complex problems cannot be solved by a single discipline
- Problems are increasingly international (cross-border)
- To successfully implement policies, government (the public sector) needs to cooperate with companies, NGOs, educational and research institutes, housing corporations, healthcare organizations etc.

Structure of:
The 1 year program:
In the 1st semester you will follow courses like: Global and European Challenges, The International and EU Legal Framework, International Relations and Politics Freamework, Regulatory Design and Implementation Beyond the Nation State, Policy Design and Implementation, Academic Research.
In the 2nd semester, you will focus on your Master’s thesis (25 credits), which you can write on a theoretical topic or a more practical problem. There is still room (5 EC) to follow an extra course of your choice, to gain extra knowledge in the field of your Master’s thesis subject. Your thesis can also form part of an internship at a government institution, research institute, international organization or company.
During this period there will also be sessions in which you can discuss methodology and share tips and problems about writing a thesis. You can also participate in discussions on various research topics.


The 2 year program (doubled degree)
After the 1st semester in Enschede, that is the same as the semester of the 1 year course you go to Muster in Germany for the 2nd semester (reachable by train from Enschede, the Netherlands). You take the following 10 EC courses at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster:
•Core Module Political Steering;
•Core Module Political Participation;
•Current and Future Challenges of Comparative Public Governance.
3rd semester
•Combination of internship and elective courses in Münster or
•Exchange programme with partner universities of WWU Münster.
4th semester: Graduation assignment

Career prospects
The demand for experts who understand the complexities of Europe extends well beyond Brussels. In national governments, private firms, the non-profit sector and NGOs, there is a growing need for professionals with the right knowledge, insights and skills to tackle the challenges Europe poses. A career at the European Parliament is also among the options open to you.
