Programma
IT continues to drastically change the way we live and work. However, IT is not a goal in itself. In this programme you will acquire a keen insight into business processes and organisations, enabling you to apply IT to innovate and create added value. The programme is run by some of the world’s leading research groups and consistently ranks among the top three master’s in the Netherlands.
The programme is organised in semesters. Each semester contains 20 weeks and is subdivided in quartiles. The unit of credit is the European Credits (EC). One EC stands for 28 hours of study load. An academic year comprises 60 EC. The whole master's comprises 120 EC.

Master thesis
In addition to second-year courses, you will work on a master’s thesis project worth 30 credits. Most of our students carry out this project within a business or industrial context. Expert guidance from our academic staff ensures that your project will strike a healthy balance between scientific rigour and practical relevance. You also have the option of engaging in an international project, in which case IT tools such as online video conferencing can be applied to ensure effective collaboration.
