The programme
How do neurotechnologies affect our view of human identity and free will? How far can we go with climate engineering, and who should decide? How are algorithms shaping the choices we make every day, and is that what we want? The PSTS Master’s at University of Twente is all about tackling tough questions like these. An academic programme unlike any other in the world, this degree is open to students with a background in engineering as well as philosophy or social sciences: whatever your Bachelor’s, PSTS will equip you with the competencies to examine, evaluate and improve the interactions between technology and society.

Masterlab 1
Students are guided towards a thesis topic, a research question and a supervisor. This supervisor helps students to develop a research proposal for their final project, while additional feedback and research skills training is given by the graduation coordinators and fellow students in MasterLab1.
