Final written exam based on the content of the three modules:
Part A: Production of a specialised written text based on those studied during the module, with commentary.
Part B: Translation into English of a text based on those studied in the module, with commentary.
Part C: Translation into Italian of a text based on those studied during the module, with guided commentary with open and/or closed questions.
Students who regularly attend lessons will also have the possibility to complete tasks for continuous assessment.

Programma
Part A TECHNICAL WRITING 20 hours;
ITALIAN/ENGLISH TRANSLATION 10 hours;
Part C ENGLISH/ITALIAN TRANSLATION 10 hours.
The course aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the writing and translation of formal texts. Macrotextual, discourse and genre features are first analysed as a basis to develop in-depth knowledge of morphosyntax, figurative language, terminology, phraseology and lexis. The chosen perspective is comparative and contrastive in order to throw light on translation methods and strategies of writing and translating.
