At the end of the course, you should understand the features and operation of View, View design principles, and ThinApp operation. You should be able to do the following:
Install and configure View components
Create and manage dedicated and floating desktop pools
Deploy and manage linked-clone virtual desktops
Configure and manage desktops that run in local mode
Configure secure access to desktops through a public network
Use ThinApp to package applications. Describe the major components of the ThinApp architecture
Troubleshoot problems with ThinApp packages
Identify design goals, requirements, and constraints
Identify information that is required for design decisions
Recognize situations that benefit from best-practice recommendations
Use the recommended design process
Analyze design choices in the following areas:
View Manager infrastructure
View desktop options
vSphere infrastructure
Network infrastructure
Client access devices
End-user management
Construct a comprehensive View solution
Prerequisiti
Completion of VMware vSphere 5.5: Install, Configure, Manage (VICM) or equivalent experience with vSphere
