Programma

Students will acquire theoretical and practical tools:
• to recognize abnormalities in wild animals such as anorexia, inactivity, abnormal feces, or changes in behaviour that may reflect early medical problems;
• recognizing problems arising from inadequate care and applying the methods of the proper diagnosis
• to provide basic evaluation and first aid to different species of vertebrates;
• making decisions on the individual diseases and conditions in the preparation of the therapeutic plan and its applicability
• to assist veterinarians during clinical and surgical procedures in wildlife;
• to implement veterinarian indications for management of wild animals during trauma and in critical condition;
• conducting treatments appropriately in some non-infectious and infectious diseases
• to understand the comparative medical approach;
• differential diagnosis of certain infectious diseases in exotic and wild animals
• to know the method of drug administration and restraint
• recognizing zoonoses, methods and possibilities to prevent them
• to recognize abnormalities in wild animals such as anorexia, inactivity, abnormal feces, or changes in behaviour that may reflect early medical problems;
• to provide basic evaluation and first aid to different species of vertebrates;
• to assist veterinarians during clinical and surgical procedures in wildlife;
• to implement veterinarian indications for management of wild animals during trauma and in critical condition;
• to understand the comparative medical approach;
• to know the method of drug administration and restraint;
• to evaluate wild animals in captivity in reference to reproduction;
• to assess the spaces and the cohabitation of species necessary to happen that the same reproduction.
