Alvise Mattozzi is a semiotician whose main research focus concerns the semiotics of objects and the semiotics of design. Interested in developing a semiotics as a methodology for social sciences, he fosters the dialogue between semiotics and social sciences and, in particular, the dialogue between semiotics and Science and Technology Studies.
Andreas Gysin studied micro technology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne and Visual communication at SUPSI, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, where he graduated as designer in 2000. He is teaching on interaction design since 2004 in both Universities of Lausanne and Lugano focusing on interactivity and programming.
Bill Keays holds a Master of Science in Media Arts and Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), USA, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts Summa Cum Laude and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa, Canada. He is an interactive media artist whose work attempts to dissolve the boundary between real and virtual realms. His installations accomplish this by presenting innovative body-centric interfaces that share a high affinity with conceptual basis of the work.
Costantino graduated in Mechanical Engineering and started working in the machine tools industry in Italy and abroad. Then he got interested in automation, domotics and soon started to explore the world of microcontrollers. In 2008 he begins my collaboration with Arduino team as interaction designer and trainer, meanwhile organizing workshops and meetings with “people doing strange things with electricity” (Dorkbot, Virale) and WeFab.it in Milano. Since 2011 he is part of the Vectorealism team as CTO & COO.
Focused on the functional and emotional impact of technologies in our everyday lives, David is an interaction designer engaged in creating meaningful connections between people, information and sociable spaces. David is particularly interested in topics related to social sustainability, participatory cultures, mapping methods and information architecture. David is a distinguished graduate of Domus Academy / Interaction Design Institute and he holds an undergraduate degree in Media & Communication Studies.
Designer, he graduated in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano, since 2001 working with LucePlan on the development of new projects, his work has received an honorable mention at the Compasso D’Oro 2004, and four Design Plus awards in 2002, 2006, 2008, and 2011. Co-founder in 2006 of the new technical lighting company called “Elementi di LucePlan”, artdirector and technical coordinator.
Enrico Bassi is the coordinator of FablabItalia (www.fablabitalia.it), the brand new lab for digital fabrication based in Turin, established at Stazione Futuro the Italian exhibition space dedicated to innovation, design and technology. The goal of FablabItalia is to provide people with a space and equipment for free for realizing projects that are shared with a creative commons license.
Fabio Sergio is the Creative Director in the frog Milan studio, bringing over a decade of hands-on experience in wrapping business scenarios around people’s needs, desires and dreams. As a design and user experience strategist, he is happiest where design, technology and (social) connectivity intersect. He believes that questions are often longerlasting than answers, and that empathy and curiosity are essential ingredients to create innovative and meaningful solutions that foster change.

Gianluca Brugnoli holds a Master Degree in Architecture and a Ph.D. in Industrial Design from the Politecnico di Milano (Italy). He is Associate Creative Director in the FrogDesign Milan studio. Throughout the years he designed digital services and applications for some of the most important international companies. His research and approach to design is focused on untangling the complexity of systems and processes, seen as frameworks and platforms which enable different user experiences and behaviors.
After graduating in Industrial Design in 2000 at the Polytechnic of Milan, began his career in product design department at Panasonic in Osaka. He completed several years of experience in interaction design, and in 2005 he founded the HABITS studio in Milan (www.habits.it). Adds the academic activities at the professional. He holds courses at the Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, the Domus Academy, the new Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.
Jan-Christoph Zoels is Experientia’s founding partner in charge of user experience design. Originally from Germany, he lived for many years in the USA, where he taught at RISD, and was director of information architecture at Sapient and a senior designer at Sony. He was a co-founder and senior associate professor at Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, where he ran the business innovation workshops called Applied Dreams. In his work Jan-Christoph focuses specifically on people experience of mobile services and applications to support sustainable lifestyles.
Interaction Designer, co-founder of Arduino, Maker, Teacher. In previous lives I was a software architect and the CTO of a VC Fund.
Maurizio Gnot started in 1984 as Visual designer for the corporate identity (Olivetti). He also worked, for private and public sector, on audio-visual communication, road sign systems and editorial conceptions for technical and coordinated-image handbook. In 1995 became an Information Architect and User Interface designer, thank to the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (DG JRC). He has worked at JRC for five years designing a framework to coordinate the publishing of 70 Web sites; he developed methodologies necessary to face the unknown design issues concerning the Web.
After a completing his BA in English Literature from the University of Chicago, Brooks traveled widely in Asia working as an editor and press officer for the Tibetan Exile Government in India and organizing an international traveling exhibition of Tibetan artwork from the Buriatian Region of the Soviet Union. From 1991 to 2000 Brooks was involved in a number of interactive media companies as a designer programmer and founded Emsitù with his wife was awarded several international prizes, including the Möbius award for interactive media in education.

Designing Advanced Artifacts, Environments and Services
The Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Interaction Design combines design thinking, prototyping techniques, digital fabrication, programming, and physical computing in one study program addressing the realization of projects in which the interaction between the design culture and the technological development allows to generate design-driven innovations.
The program places Interaction design at the center of an original curriculum where it serves as the key element in the design of Advanced Artifacts, Environments, and Services. The goal of the MAS is to train skilled professionals who play a key role within the most innovative industrial and design fields.
Our courses are held by renowned professionals such the designers from Frog Design (www.frogdesign.com), Massimo Banzi (www.Arduino.cc), Fabio Franchino (www.todo.to.it).
