The exam consists in a written test with 31 questions, including multiple-choice, true/false, and completion questions in similar proportions.
Time allotted for the exam is 45 minutes.
The final grade is the result of summing up the points from each question.

- Theoretical perspectives and models in Clinical Psychology: biological, psychodynamic, behavioral, and cognitive perspectives; the diathesis-stress model
- Multidimensional assessment in Clinical Psychology: instruments and procedures (clinical interview, questionnaires, structured interviews, observation, self-monitoring, psychophysiological recordings) and their integration
- Research methods in Clinical Psychology: correlational and experimental research, case studies, single-subject experimental designs, and their contexts of use; basic features of meta-analytic procedures and their usefulness
- Psychopathology: clinical and epidemiological features of some major psychopathological disorders (anxiety, stress-related, depressive and bipolar, obsessive-compulsive, dissociative, and somatic symptoms disorders, schizophrenia spectrum disorders), and the main etiopathogenetic models.
