This course aims to improve the design and implementation of policies intended to promote job creation by building the capacity of all relevant stakeholders to identify, measure and assess the employment effects of economic, sectoral, trade-related or labour market policies. In particular, the course will impart the competencies needed to make informed decisions about how to best measure and evaluate the results of interventions to promote decent jobs for women and men, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups as youth, rural populations and informal workers. This year the course is offered in an innovative e-learning format and special attention will be given to the assessment of employment impacts of pandemics like COVID-19.
