Lessons will focus on: pronunciation and intonation; grammatical features of spoken English; communication strategies in different spoken registers; English as a lingua franca; strategies for teaching spoken English; language in films; the use of corpora to analyse spoken English; presentation skills.

Authentic audio and video texts will be used, as will extracts from films.
