Programma

The course will focus on the discussion and analysis of available experimental model systems used in medical and biological research, including cell cultures (primary, immortalized), organoids, animal models. 2CFU will be dedicated to the application of experimental models to study infectious viral diseases. The course entails a series of seminars from researchers working on different model systems, and a journal-club activity where students will be asked to critically dissect the pros and cons of available experimental models. A more detailed program will be available at the beginning of the course.
