The programme
The IB programme will prepare you for a successful international business career, anywhere in the world. You’ll build strong foundations in economics, marketing, sales, finance and management. Lectures and workshops in the various modules aim will provide you with in-depth knowledge and experience working in a global team. You’ll get to put knowledge into action during a semester-long internship at an international company.

Year 1
Year one is the introductory year (propadeutic year). The first two semesters in year one, will give you the theoretical basis you need to understand international business in its various forms.

Year 2
In year two, you get to build on the knowledge and skills you acquired during your first year courses, but that’s not all. You also have the opportunity to learn a foreign language. You can choose from French, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Korean and Russian. International Business (IB) students know the importance of working alongside other cultures in our international classroom and language electives. This intercultural approach adds value to everything we do.

Year 3 and 4
Year 3 students of THUAS are offered four specializations to choose from. Having gained expertise in one of these, our graduates often become generalists with a wide range of duties in small and medium-sized companies. In larger, internationally operating companies or multinationals, they often have a more specialist role; listed opposite are the specializations offered at IB THUAS and examples of roles in the different functional areas that our graduates help fulfil.

In the second part of the program is also the time for internships and exchange programs.

Career prospects
On successful completion of the programme you’ll gain a Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) in International Business. But not only that. You’ll be ready to manage a business and navigate the ‘ins and outs’ or an international small, medium or large organisation.
