Market Leader Business English:

You are studying English because you want a good job. Everything is global now, and you need English to succeed. Market Leader is our business class, based on materials from the Pearson Longman group, in association with the Financial Times.

Each week you study a different part of the business world (negotiations, sales, etc.) and you learn how to talk and write about it in English. Each week ends with a realistic practice of a business situation.

You will need to be motivated, interested, and imaginative in these lessons, and that’s what you need in life!

Avalon offers Market Leader at intermediate, upper-intermediate and advanced levels:

How will I be taught?
The timetable is structured so that students who take Market Leader as one of their classes will study two fifty minute sessions (two lessons) each day. The length of study depends on how long you would like to study Business English. Each level has 12 units.

When can I join the class?
Students can join the class any Monday because this class is unit based.

How will I be assessed?
Students can take an internal exam. However, this is not essential.

What are the entrance requirements?
Students must be at an intermediate level of English to study this course. If you are pre-intermediate, Avalon suggests that 6 weeks of general English are taken before starting this course.
