Interior Design/Architecture /Placemaking

At the end of this certificate students will be able to:
1. Understand the critical success factors of best PLACEMAKING, by studying urban space plan-ning and interior design vs community growth and development;
2. Reflect on the CONCEPT OF SPACE as a place where people exchange value;
3.Face the challenge to DESIGN IN HISTORIC CONTEXTS and cities that are cultural artifacts made of multiple layers;
4.Display enhanced design methods and skills, taking into account salient issues such as ARCHI-TECTURAL ETHICS, THE ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY IN ARCHITECTURE, and the IMPORTANCE OF SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
5.Explore the rich variety of the Italian culture and of the city of Rome.
6.Apply the most relevant INTERIOR DESIGN and URBAN PLANNING theories and approaches to real spaces and buildings of Rome with a FINAL STUDIO DESIGN PROJECT

Min. 5.5.IELTS/69TOEFL is appreciated, but not mandatory.

1. Students will receive a certificate of attendance with a number of ECTS credits awarded by the Faculty of Architecture and Design of BAU University - Istanbul.
2.Discount up to 40% if take 2 or 3 other courses of the Academy is available.
3. This course requires 42 contact hours. It can be completed in short intensive formats of 2-4 weeks or in a 3-month term, combined with city and culture tours, languages and other courses.
