- approfondita preparazione nelle tecniche della traduzione e revisione, cui possono aggiungersi forme di elaborazione e adattamento professionale di testi in ambito interlinguistico e interculturale;

- approfondita conoscenza delle particolarità dei linguaggi settoriali e dei relativi ambiti di riferimento, anche riguardo al mondo dell'editoria e della multimedialità;

- capacità di utilizzare gli ausili informatici e telematici indispensabili alla professione del traduttore e di utilizzare gli strumenti di ricerca e di documentazione tradizionali e informatizzati, mirati in particolare al reperimento di informazioni nella rete, alla realizzazione di corpora linguistici e alla relativa estrazione di informazioni per la creazione di glossari e banche dati terminologiche, all'utilizzo di tecnologie di traduzione assistita, traduzione automatica e localizzazione;

- capacità critiche e di autoriflessione e consapevolezza deontologico-professionale;

- elevate competenze culturali e linguistiche in inglese, e in una seconda lingua di studio, applicate all'analisi dei testi e del discorso.

Ai fini indicati il Corso di Studio prevede un percorso formativo incentrato su aree quali:
- area linguistico-culturale che comprende attività dedicate all'approfondimento delle conoscenze culturali e linguistiche nelle lingue di studio, con un'enfasi particolare sull'analisi dei testi e del discorso;
- area teorico-metodologica che include attività dedicate a studio e riflessione critica sui principi teorico-metodologici e all'acquisizione dei metodi e delle tecnologie per la traduzione (documentazione, terminografia, traduzione assistita, traduzione automatica e localizzazione);

Per promuovere l'attività di e-learning la Sede utilizza la piattaforma Moodle, che consente lo scambio di testi, materiali didattici ed esercitazioni tra studenti e docenti.

È stata inoltre attivata una convenzione con SDL-TRADOS per offrire ai propri studenti l'opportunità di ottenere la certificazione TRADOS come utilizzatori di questo diffusissimo CAT tool, ideato per contribuire all'aggiornamento della comunità dei traduttori sui più recenti sviluppi tecnologici e sulle procedure ottimali relative alla tecnologia di traduzione, alla gestione della terminologia e ai controlli di qualità automatizzati.

Il Corso di laurea magistrale prevede la formazione di una figura professionale con elevate competenze traduttive, con particolare riferimento ai linguaggi specialistici (tecnologico, giuridico, economico, commerciale, medico-farmacologico, informatico, della multimedialità e altro) nonché competenze in ambito terminologico e terminografico, e conoscenze del mondo editoriale, sulla base di un'approfondita preparazione linguistica e culturale. Tali competenze sono specificamente indirizzate a imprese, società, istituzioni ed enti pubblici e privati, nazionali e internazionali, e utilizzabili nell'ambito della didattica e della ricerca.

Per essere ammessi al corso di laurea magistrale occorre essere in possesso di una laurea o del diploma universitario di durata triennale, ovvero di altro titolo di studio conseguito all'estero, riconosciuto idoneo. Occorre, altresì, il possesso di requisiti curriculari, il possesso di adeguate competenze linguistiche di livello C1 nella lingua inglese e il superamento di una verifica dell'adeguatezza della personale preparazione.

3. Language-Specific Set - Translation For The Publishing Industry Of The Language Of Choice - First Year (6 CFU)

This set includes Translation for the publishing industry courses for the range of the languages to choose from, which include Chinese, French, German, Russian and Spanish. In their first year, students choose the teaching activity that corresponds to their language of choice.

4. Electives (12 CFU)

The School stipulates that, within the limit of 12 exams (pass/fail exams), the credits for Electives can be acquired by means of 2 exams and 0 "idoneità" (exams/modules where students are rewarded a pass or a fail rather than a mark). Students shall acquire a minimum of 12 credits for ELECTIVES, choosing among activities offered by the Forlì Vicepresidency of the School of Languages and Literature, Translation and Interpreting, or by other Schools, freely distributing them along the course duration. The School stipulates that, within the limit of 12 exams, the 12 credits for Electives can be acquired by means of 2 exams. Students will be asked to choose no more than one course unit (up to 12 credits) taught in Italian

Related Learning Activities - This set includes culture and literature course units in the range of the languages to choose from, which include Chinese, French, German, Russian and Spanish. In their second year, students choose among these the unit corresponding to their language of choice.

5. Final Examination (15 CFU)

The group of activities includes the final examination (15 ECTS) and all Internship activities related to the preparation of the final examination itself, both in Italy (12 ECTS) and abroad (12 ECTS), as well as the preparation of the final examination abroad (12 ECTS). Students who will take one of the listed internship activities will then have to choose the corresponding training activity (12 ECTS) and the Final Examination (3 ECTS) .
