It was the most prestigious and fascinating university I had ever attended for my bachelor's degree. The facility and education are enough and I do not have any complaints about studying and doing practical work. Even during the pandemic, the school always adapt in most situation to help many students to continue with their study when in quarantine. That is mostly my opinion about the university I studied in.

I professori sono sempre disponibili per aiutarti in qualsiasi cosa.
Sede e risorse universitarie sono il top! Molto diverso da quello che siamo abituati in Italia.

Università giovane e moderna che vanta un personale ben preparato e un ambiente multiculturale. Il tutto in una città tipicamente olandese (o meglio, frisona) e a musura d'uomo, dove è tanto facile perdersi per le vie sui canali del centro quanto veloce ambientarsi e fare nuove conoscenze durante il percorso di studi.

I am in the 2nd yr for the International Electrical engineering course at Saxion. The Teachers are very helpful and the practical and theoretical classes pair very well together. Even during corona time the teachers have adapted pretty nicely to online classes, proving sufficient exercise, and trying thier best to make classes as interactive as possible. They also are very available to answer questions between classes.
During the first year it was hard to adapt since there is a lot of self-studying expected, and also there tends to be a basic knowledge gap between what dutch students know and what international students know. But there are classes provided to fill that gap as best as possible. Additionally, it can feel like there is a slight disconnect between the English and Dutch language, as it is not the first language of most teachers. Of course this is expected when you study in the Netherlands in English. but this aspect does not impact the study in a detrimental way.

La sede dell’università è davvero bella, grande, luminosa, verde e con molti spazi in cui si può studiare.
Il corso Creative Business è molto pratico e pieno di progetti cosa che apprezzo molto. Una cosa che gradirei sarebbe avere più lezioni di teoria in modo da capire meglio quello che bisogna fare in pratica.
I professori sono per la maggior parte disponibili e ti aiutano tranquillamente se hai problemi.
In generale mi piace molto studiare ad NHL Stenden.

This study program has exceeded my expectations. The range of topics and subjects that are given make it easier for you to experience the different approaches or fields in which you might want to specialise on or end up working on in your future career. Furthermore, the teaching staff is very friendly, and they motivate you to study. Since we have small project groups and classes, the approach is very personal, which is something I find very nice. Finally, the mix of theoretical and applied knowledge, through laboratory work and fieldwork, makes it more enjoyable to learn about a specific subject as well as having a better understanding of it after matching theory and practice.

Avans è un ottimo istituto superiore, moderno, avanzato, prestigioso e molto serio.
A livello organizzativo si incontrano talvolta alcune imprecisioni comunicative, sicuramente anche dovute alla situazione Covid.

I really love my study programme because it is practice oriented. Every term we have to write several reports and do in depht research on certain topics and this is rellay honing my research skills. Furthermore, there is nearly every term one or two projects with companies which are organized by the HAS or by ourselves. It really helps to create a good business network and of course prepares you for the future. Conentwise, the subjects are really interesting. You have a close connections to your lecturers as the classes are kept small and usually they have a great working experience, meaning, once again, they bring in a valuable business network which can help you tremendously to find an internship/future job. I love it.

Infine, ti offre la possibilità di applicare le tue conoscenze in due stage, oltre che durante l'intero corso di laurea con la partecipazione a progetti reali con le aziende.

Spesso il livello delle lezioni assomiglia a quello di un liceo. Però l’approccio è molto diverso, c’è più dialogo e ci si può confrontare con i professori.
Gli insegnanti sono sempre molto disponibili a spiegare, chiarificare e rispondere a tutte le domande.
Sono all’ultimo anno del mio percorso e oggi, come all’inizio, sono contenta di aver affrontato quest’esperienza; mi ha insegnato tantissimo sia a livello scolastico che di vita.

Spesso il livello delle lezioni assomiglia a quello di un liceo. Però l’approccio è molto diverso, c’è più dialogo e ci si può confrontare con i professori.
Gli insegnanti sono sempre molto disponibili a spiegare, chiarificare e rispondere a tutte le domande.
Sono all’ultimo anno del mio percorso e oggi, come all’inizio, sono contenta di aver affrontato quest’esperienza; mi ha insegnato tantissimo sia a livello scolastico che di vita.

Students are well prepared for real life and workflow plus have a professional attitude. Teachers are understandable, come from different countries, so there is diversity, plus try their best to make the teaching fun. As an option study i think it's one of the good degrees to get out there. It really teaches you practical things about Computers and it really gives you the necessary skills for the Job Market Later in life.
